About Geffen Baby
Geffen Baby is our pride and joy … just as your child is yours. We are deeply involved in every single step of the manufacturing process in order to ensure that our product is perfect.
We began as Los Angeles-based textile manufacturing company that saw a need for natural baby products. We manufacture the textiles we use ourselves at our own plant in our own backyard to ensure that we have a hand in on every step of production from start to finish.
We decided to improve our fabrics by adding more hemp to the content, becoming the only fabric in the industry to have 60% Hemp and 40% Organic cotton. In doing so we created a performance fabric that is not only more durable, but also more absorbent.
After countless hours and late nights of studying all there is to know about babies and reusable diapers. We have gone above and beyond to improve all aspects of some of the best selling diapers on the market today. We have created the only Universal diaper inserts with an absorbency level system unique to us and especially designed to fit every baby’s needs.
We Support A Greener World
We love our planet and try to be as organic as possible from our manufacturing process right down to our eco-friendly packaging. We make 95% of our products here in the USA eliminating a lot of our carbon footprint in doing so. Disposable diapers leave a harsh impact on the environment leaving waste and polluting our land, sea, and air. The polluting chain reaction begins at time of production. According to recycling sites that research waste, an estimated 15 billion disposable diapers are used each year in the United States alone, generating over 2.7 million tons of non-biodegradable waste going mostly to landfills.
Shocking Fact
Did you know that most parents are unaware of the fact that disposable diaper packaging instructs them to flush solid waste before discarding the diaper? What this means is that human fecal matter is ending up in our landfills where it can leak into groundwater and possibly spread disease. Cloth diapers, however, avoid the pollution all together by placing the waste where it belongs, in our sewer system, where it can be treated properly. In addition, the cloth diapers can be donated and eventually be completely recycled into rags after the baby is done using it.
Why Choose Cloth Diapers?
Disposable diapers contain harmful chemicals such as bleach, gels that absorb moisture, perfumes and dyes that can irritate your baby’s skin. There are also many health concerns associated with disposable diaper use. Baby’s that have sensitive skin can have severe allergic reactions and diaper rashes from these chemicals.
Did You Know?
Disposable diapers have been linked the development of asthma or other respiratory problems, infertility in boys, bacterial infections in girls, rashes and skin disorders like eczema
*Diapers that are lined with plastic do not allow air to circulate around the baby’s bottoms, which contributes to diaper rash and keeps the baby boys testicles too warm, thus impeding the normal development of the testicles. It pays to be green!
Consumer Reports estimate that you will spend $1500-2000 on disposable diapers for your child before they are potty trained. Cloth diapers are a wise economical choice due to the fact that they can cost as little as $243-$792 over a 2.5 year period. And that includes all the washing and drying expenses as well! Making reusable diapers not only the healthier choice but also the cheapest and saving you between $708 – $1,757.
